Watch: Manchester City wonderkid Enes Ünal ends Twente loan spell with 19th goal – City Watch
It is safe to say that Manchester City youngster Enes Ünal has benefited from his year on loan at FC Twente in the Eredivisie.
The Turkish forward, who turned 20 on Wednesday, had no trouble stepping up a division in the Netherlands and rewarded Twente’s faith in him with 19 goals in all competitions.
Ünal made almost certainly his final appearance at the De Grolsch Veste earlier today, scoring in the 85th minute of Twente’s 3-5 defeat to FC Groningen. It wasn’t the ideal result for his last game at the club, but his goals have helped Twente finish 7th, putting them in the Europa League play-offs.
The City starlet showed good technique and composure before bagging his 18th Eredivisie goal of the season:

Ünal finished fifth in the top scorers charts, only three goals behind Nicolai Jørgensen of champions Feyenoord:
21 – Nicolai Jørgensen (Feyenoord)
20 – Ricky van Wolfswinkel (Vitesse)
19 – Samuel Armenteros (sc Heerenveen)
19 – Reza Ghoochannejhad (Heracles Almelo)
18 – Enes Ünal (FC Twente)
Ünal can now put his feet up for the summer, but must also decide his next loan move, with a reported TWENTY clubs keen on recruiting him for the 2017-18 season.
It was claimed that incoming Lille coach, Marcelo Bielsa, was in attendance to watch him today, while the likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Lazio have been mentioned as interested suitors.
With just five Turkey caps to his name, Ünal will still be ineligible for a work permit that allows him to play for Manchester City’s first team even if Pep Guardiola wanted to integrate him, meaning he will go out on loan again next season.
