Samir Nasri agrees to join Turkish side Antalyaspor on two-year deal – reports – City Watch

Manchester City playmaker Samir Nasri has agreed to join Antalyaspor, who play in Turkey’s Süper Lig, on a two-year deal according to reports in the Turkish press and Italian news portal TMW.

Nasri will earn €4million per season plus bonuses over the duration of his two-year contract at Antalyaspor, for whom this deal is a huge coup.

According to Ajansspor, Antalyaspor lawyers spent three days drafting a special contract for Nasri, as there remains the risk that he could face a ban from football if found guilty of breaking anti-doping rules, following his infamous Drip Doctors incident, where he received an “Immunity IV Drip”.

Running its own exclusive report with similar information, TMW states that there are ‘no doubts’ that Nasri will arrive at the club now, with President Ali Safak Ozturk, along with his right arm George Gardi, closing a deal for the 30-year-old.

The Italian site also claims Nasri is scheduled to arrive in Antalya on a private flight at 12:30pm tomorrow for his medical.

No fee is mentioned by any source or whether in fact this is a permanent deal or two-year loan for the remainder of his City contract. City have found it difficult to sell Nasri because of his enormous salary that no club has wanted to take on.

Should the deal go through, Nasri will team up with another Frenchman born in 1987, Jérémy Ménez, as well as legendary Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o.
