Riyad Mahrez hands in transfer request as Manchester City make £50m bid – report

Riyad Mahrez has handed in a transfer request at Leicester City in a late attempt to force through a transfer to Manchester City, who suddenly made a move for him today.

City have made a bid worth over £50m for the 26-year-old Algerian. And according to Sky Sports News, this is the Blues’ SECOND bid of the window for Mahrez.

Pep Guardiola has reportedly put a move for Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred on the back-burner in an attempt to extract Mahrez from Leicester before tomorrow’s transfer window, and things are hotting up with the player actively trying to force through a move to the Etihad.
