Kelechi Iheanacho told he will leave Manchester City as talks continue with West Ham – report – City Watch
Kelechi Iheanacho is set to be one of the more unfortunate victims of Pep Guardiola’s summer overhaul at Manchester City, despite the 20-year-old being desperate to stay at the club that brought him to England.
According to an exclusive article for The West Ham Way by ExWHUEmployee, undoubtedly the most reliable West Ham source around, the Nigerian has been told to brace himself for an Etihad departure.
West Ham have been in talks to sign Kelechi but have found negotiations with Man City difficult, the problem largely surrounding City’s demand for a buy-back clause in any sale. Despite frustration for the Hammers so far, talks continue and are not dead.
If West Ham do fail to strike a deal for the clinical young striker, many other clubs are interested. It is thought that City could demand over £20 million for Kelechi, which would represent one of the club’s biggest profits ever on a player.
For now, negotiations go on but it appears to be only a matter of time until Kelechi Iheanacho says goodbye to Manchester City.
