Joe Hart could return to Italy as Roma seek alternative to Arsenal ‘keeper – City Watch
Joe Hart could return to Italy this summer as AS Roma seek an alternative to Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, who is set to return to the Gunners.
Hart has been linked with a number of clubs so far, with Liverpool, West Ham United, Chelsea and even Manchester United apparently plotting moves for him, but now Roma have been put in the race.
According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Joe Hart will become an option for AS Roma if the Polish goalkeeper returns to his parent side this summer, but any deal is expected to cost around £20 million. A big factor for Joe Hart in making his choice will be Champions League football and Roma fit that bill, after finishing second in Serie A.
Joe Hart has spent the season out on loan at fellow Serie A side Torino and is getting to know the league, so a move back to Italy won’t be out of the question, although just an option for now.
