Bookmakers slash odds on Tottenham defender joining Manchester City this summer – City Watch
Tottenham Hotspur and England right-back Kyle Walker is now odds-on to make a big move to Manchester City this summer.
Bookmaker, Sky Bet, has slashed the price on Walker moving to City to 4/6, with a Spurs stay priced at 11/10. For those not familiar with betting odds, this means that current odds consider it more likely that he will join City than stay at Spurs in the summer.
Another bookie, Coral, has Walker at just 1/2 to leave Spurs (for any club) this summer, also considering an exit more likely than not.
While it’s never too wise to treat betting odds too seriously, the movement in the market suggests there has been some money on Walker moving to the Etihad.
Both of City’s natural right-backs, Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna, are out of contract in June, while current makeshift right-back, Jesus Navas, is also at the end of his deal and expected to leave. Could Kyle Walker be the man to step in as City’s new right-back?
