West Ham and Valencia have followed Newcastle in expressing an interest in signing Eliaquim Mangala from Manchester City this month.

According to both Paul Hirst of The Times and Simon Stone of the BBC, the three clubs are options for 26-year-old Mangala, with the former FC Porto star set to fall down the pecking order even more after the arrival of Aymeric Laporte.

Mangala, a disappointment since his £42million signing from Porto several years ago, has already enjoyed one loan spell at Valencia and a return could appeal to him. Alternatively, Newcastle and West Ham could offer him the chance to remain in the Premier League.

He was all smiles today as he welcomed Laporte to the fold, with City’s club record signing having his first training session.
