Former Manchester City and Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri is now a free agent after struggling Turkish side Antalyaspor agreed to tear up his contract, just half a season after his shock move from the Etihad.

Nasri, 30, joins Samuel Eto’o in departing the troubled club this month, with their ambitious project in tatters and the club embroiled in a relegation scrap.

Samir has recently been linked with a Premier League return with West Ham, while Mexican club Tigres also gave him a unique opportunity to join them.

At the age of 30, Nasri on a free transfer could be a coup for a number of clubs. Galatasaray are rumoured to be leading the chase for him, but could an English club make a play? With the player out of contract, he could be signed after the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.

Nasri made 171 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions, scoring 26 goals and winning the Premier League twice.
