Swansea join West Ham, Leicester & Southampton in battle for Manchester City youngster – City Watch
Swansea City are the latest club to show an interest in signing Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, the Daily Mirror claims.
The Nigerian is available for sale but City are expected to demand over £20 million for the clinical young striker and also want a buy-back clause in any deal, which is complicating West Ham’s pursuit.
With an increasingly large cast of clubs in for Kelechi, though, it appears only a matter of time before someone makes a bid that City bosses consider appropriate.
In addition to Swansea and West Ham, Leicester City and Southampton are also keen on Kelechi who burst on to the scene under Manuel Pellegrini in the 2015-16 season before becoming more of a peripheral figure last season following the arrival of Pep Guardiola.
West Ham are said to still lead the race for Iheanacho but may want to strike a deal soon with so much interest from rival Premier League sides.
