Roma close in on £5.3million deal for Manchester City full-back – report – City Watch
Roma are closing in on a deal to sign Aleksandar Kolarov from Manchester City according to Giulio Cardone of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica.

The Serie A club are willing to pay around €6million (£5.3million) for 31-year-old Kolarov, who is entering the final year of his contract, Cardone reports.
This would be a controversial move with Kolarov having played for Roma’s fierce local rivals Lazio before his £16million to Man City in 2010.
Last night, the trustworthy Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia also stated that Roma had an interest in Kolarov, but his information was that the Serb was a second choice for sporting director Monchi behind Torino left-back Antonio Barreca.
Another Italian source, Corriere della Sera, also had information that Eusebio Di Francesco’s side are keen on Kolarov but noted that his €4.5million a year salary would be a big obstacle to overcome.
Kolarov is currently in the US with the City first-team squad but if tonight’s news is true, he may have played his last game for City.
22:30 UPDATE: Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that Roma are working on a deal, but City will not let him leave until they find a replacement for his role – such as Benjamin Mendy of Monaco.
