PSG ready to blow Man City out of the water with £80m bid for Alexis Sanchez – City Watch
Paris Saint-Germain are set to offer £80m for Alexis Sanchez despite Manchester City being Sanchez’s first preference, according to Miguel Delaney of the Independent.
Despite already spending £200m in world record deal for Neymar, PSG still want another forward and are prepared to offer wages of up to £400,000-a-week to tempt Alexis Sanchez.
The report states that Sanchez has no shown no willingness to sign the £250,000-a-week offer put forward to him by Arsenal and would even accept a lower wage should he be allowed to team up with Pep Guardiola again.
However, PSG are willing to test Sanchez and Arsenal’s resolve with a ‘type of financial package too good to turn down.’
Arsenal remain adamant that Alexis will not be sold this summer with Guardiola accepting that a free transfer next year could be an alternative. It remains to be seen what happens with PSG threatening to destabilise both Manchester City and Arsenal’s plans with a highly lucrative offer for the player.
