Manchester City vs. Newcastle: Starting Lineups & TV Information – City Watch

City Watch

Manchester City look to get back to winning ways after they were held on the road at Wolves last weekend when they host Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle United today at the Etihad Stadium.

The Magpies were stubborn opponents last season for City, who had to work hard for a 1-0 win at St James’ Park in December before overcoming Rafa’s men with more comfort at home less than a month later with a 3-1 win. Pep Guardiola will hope for a similar result in this afternoon’s televised game, but Newcastle’s credible performance against Chelsea last weekend proves they can not be taken lightly.

Kevin Friend is today’s referee and here are the lineups selected by Guardiola and his compatriot Benitez:

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy, Silva, Fernandinho, Mahrez, Sterling, Jesus, Aguero

Newcastle XI: Dúbravka, Clark, Yedlin, Fernández, Lascelles, Dummett, Kenedy, S.Y. Ki, Diamé, Ayoze, Rondón

The match can be viewed on BT Sport 1 in the UK. A full list of TV coverage from around the world can be found here.
