Samir Nasri continues to search for his next club after Sevilla opted not to use their option to buy the Manchester City playmaker.
The 30-year-old, who is at risk of receiving a ban from football, has been linked with AC Milan, Galatasaray and Besiktas, while The Sun recently claimed that Shanghai Shenhua have offered him a staggering £275,000-a-week TAX FREE to join other big names in the Chinese Super League.
There may be some credibility to those claims after one of his representatives, Aldo Zampa, who acts as an intermediary for the player, spoke to Romanews.eu and confirmed interest from the Far East.
“The player is still owned by Manchester City and we are considering several possibilities,” Zampa told the Roma news site. “There is the possibility of a transfer to China. As far as Italy is concerned, there are two interested teams, with whom we have spoken to. They are first-class teams.”
One of those teams could be Roma, because their recruitment is now led by Monchi, the same man who took Nasri on loan at Sevilla a year ago. Zampa confirmed that Monchi is a big admirer of the 30-year-old and his words seemed to suggest that Roma are one of the two Serie A sides keen on Samir.
For now, the player is back at the CFA taking part in first-team training, although it is very unlikely that he will be on the flight to the US soon as he looks for a new club.
