Manchester City could soon add another young Spaniard to the youth ranks, having taken Guille Amor on trial with a view to joining the club.

Guille Amor is the son of Guillermo Amor, who was part of Barcelona’s ‘Dream Team’ that won the European Cup in 1992, and was in the youth ranks of La Masia at Barcelona before following his father to Australia.

Guillermo Amor recently left his post as head coach of Adelaide United following a three-year stint, and along with another ‘Dream Team’ member, José Mari Bakero, has become a coach of the Barça B, Juvenil A and Juvenil B groups in La Masia.

But rather than return to Barcelona’s prestigious academy, the younger Amor is undergoing a trial period at Manchester City. If successful, he could join two similarly aged Spanish youngsters, Eric Garcia, who recently joined from Barcelona, and Nabil Touaizi, one of the jewels of the Valencia academy who also moved to the City Football Academy.
