Manchester City sign Claudio Bravo from Barcelona for £17m – City Watch
Manchester City have completed the signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona for a fee believed to be around £17 million, which equates to roughly €20 million.
The (now) former Barcelona goalkeeper has been a target for Pep Guardiola throughout the transfer window due to his ability with the ball at his feet – something he believes current goalkeepers Willy Cabellero and Joe Hart lack.
The 33-year old is likely to make his club debut against West Ham United at the Etihad on Sunday after signing a four-year deal.

Claudio Bravo has had an illustrious career so far, winning La Liga and Copa del Rey on two different occasions, as well as the Supercopa de España, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup – that’s all within just two years. He’s accumulated 106 caps for the Chile international team, during which he has lifted the Copa América on twice.
Bravo follows İlkay Gündoğan, Nolito, Leroy Sané and John Stones as signings who are likely to go straight into the first-team fold, while there has also been heavy investment in longer term and less ready-made talents, with Gabriel Jesus, Marlos Moreno and Oleksander Zinchenko snapped up and of course Aaron Mooy.
Last season Bravo notched up an impressive 84.3% pass accuracy last season, making around 26.7 passes per game.
