Manchester City could sign another Barcelona talent as striker ‘Kun’ arrives at the CFA – City Watch

Manchester City could sign another player who has spent time in Barcelona’s famous La Masia after Bulgaria under-18 striker Kun Temenuzhkov was spotted at the City Football Academy.

The 17-year-old is no longer with Barcelona and it is speculated that is due to issues off the pitch rather than on it. He is now in England and has been expected to join Leeds United, but posted footage of himself at the City Football Academy on his Instagram. There is no confirmation as to whether he is joining City or there for other reasons.

Born on 1 February 2000, his full name is Dzhoshkun Temenuzhkov Mihaylov, but he is commonly referred to as Kun, shortened from ‘Hoshkun’, giving him the same nickname as a certain Manchester City player. Another La Masia youngster, Eric García, joined in July. Guille Amor, son of Barcelona academy coach Guillermo Amor, is also on trial at City.

Kun is a right-footed centre-forward with a short frame but a keen eye for goal, and was relocated to Spain with his family by Barcelona.

21:00 UPDATE: Journalist Albert Rogé of SPORT informs us that Kun Temenuzhkov was at the CFA merely to pass a medical for his originally expected move to Leeds, so it seems he won’t be joining his former La Masia friends in City’s academy!

Me comentan que no hay cambios y que Kun fichará por el filial del Leeds. Ha ido a Manchester a pasar la revisión. Pronto oficial 😅 pic.twitter.com/lMoSOfnPLJ
