Manchester City contact entourage of PSG star, face Manchester United and Barcelona competition – City Watch

Manchester City are stepping up their attempts to sign new full-backs and have been in contact with the entourage of Paris Saint-Germain right-back, Serge Aurier, according to today’s edition of Le Parisien.

The 24-year-old is inclined the leave the French giants at the end of the season and Manchester United were reported to be in talks with him earlier this week. With Barcelona also said to be interested, this has brought City to the fray, with Premier League rivals Liverpool also interested.

Given the difficulty in finding high-level right-backs, PSG are determined to hold on to the player and recently sent him a three-year contract extension offer worth €4.2 million gross per season, but this was rejected by he and his representatives.

PSG are currently refusing to give Aurier permission to speak with English clubs, but if he wins this battle of wills, it could be Manchester City, who look set to allow both Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna to leave this summer, or neighbours Manchester United where the Ivory Coast international plays his club football next season.

For a limited time, you can get your hands on a Manchester City official shirt from just £30 for adults and £22.50 for children.
