Man City defender could join Besiktas ‘in the next 48 hours’ and form partnership with Pepe – report – City Watch
The Turkish press continues to link Manchester City players with a move to the Süper Lig and after claims yesterday that Fernando is off to Galatasaray, his former FC Porto teammate Eliaquim Mangala could be heading to an Istanbul rival.
It’s report by Hakan Gündoğar of A Spor that 26-year-old Mangala has struck an agreement with Besiktas to join the club, where he would form a new-look defensive partnership with former Real Madrid star Pepe. Both Mangala and Pepe are represented by super-agent Jorge Mendes.

The claim is that Mangala will fly to Istanbul within 48 hours to complete a move to the Turkish champions, though like so many of the big exclusives from Turkey, no specifics about the deal between clubs are offered.
Mangala was part of the traveling squad that flew to the US yesterday, so it shouldn’t take long to learn how credible this story is, as he will surely leave the camp soon if it is anything more than speculation from Turkey’s (very imaginative) press.
