Leroy Sané called up by Germany for 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup – City Watch

City Watch

Manchester City whiz-kid Leroy Sané won’t get much time to put his feet up before he’ll be back in action, having been named in a youthful Germany squad for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

Joachim Löw has selected Sané for the World Cup prelude that will be held in Russia from June 17 until July 2.

Germany have been drawn in Group B and will face Cameroon, Chile and Australia, with the top two advancing to the knockout stage. The final, scheduled for July 2 at 21:00, will be hosted at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg, and it is probably reasonable to expect Germany to be one of the teams in it.
