Juventus ready to sell Manchester City and Chelsea target for offers of over €50 million – City Watch
After resisting approaches from Manchester City and Chelsea in the past year, Juventus are finally prepared to cash in on defender Leonardo Bonucci according to Premium Sport in Italy.
The player’s future has been subject to speculation but it is reported that if they receive an offer in excess of €50 million (£44 million), Juventus will reluctantly sanction a sale of the 30-year-old.
Such a figure was offered one year ago by City, with Pep Guardiola a huge admirer of the centre-back who he saw as a player capable of bringing high-level ability and great leadership skills to his new side.
One year later and it is unclear if City would be willing to return to the Serie A champions with such a huge offer for a player who has since turned 30. Guardiola’s admiration of Bonucci, who he once described as one of his all-time favourite players, could tempt him to make a move, but full-backs and a new attacker seem to be the priority at this point.
City have also managed to tie promising local boy Tosin Adarabioyo down to a new long-term deal and although very inexperienced, his contract renewal may lessen the need for a new centre-back if Pep has faith in club captain Vincent Kompany staying fit.
With Juventus finally ready to let Leonardo Bonucci go, will Man City return to the table? This could be one to keep an eye on…
