Italian club 'open talks' with Manchester City about deal for midfielder, fee being discussed – City Watch
Manchester City midfielder Bruno Zuculini may have finally found a home in Europe after six loan spells away since arriving from Racing Club in 2014.
Zuculini arrived to much hype as a 21-year-old, joining for a reported fee of £1.5 million, and he instantly moved to Valencia on loan with the idea being to integrate him into European football in a less foreign environment than England.
The Argentine failed to make an impression at the Mestalla and since then has had loan spells at Córdoba, Middlesbrough, AEK Athens, Rayo Vallecano and Hellas Verona, most of them ending with the player returning to Manchester City after failing to secure a permanent move.
However, after spending half a season on loan at Verona and, along with his older brother Franco Zuculini, helping the team win promotion to Serie A, he may finally get his move away from the Etihad.
According to Hellas1903, Hellas and Man City are in talks to make Zuculini’s loan move permanent and there is optimism that a deal can be closed soon.
After 16 appearances in Serie B since joining, Zuculini is described as ‘an essential player’ for Hellas and the two sides must agree on a fee, but the will of the Italian club is clear, and that is to sign the midfielder permanently.
At the age of 24 and after several false starts, Bruno Zuculini could finally have a club in Europe that he can really call home and unless of any complications will be one of the many to leave Manchester City permanently this summer.
