Serie A side Genoa have one day to exercise their option to buy Manchester City midfielder Olivier Ntcham following a two-year loan spell at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
The Frenchman has been in and out of the side this season, making 15 appearances in the league, and is considered to have a lot of potential, but remains an inconsistent player at the age of 21. This hands Ivan Jurić and his technical staff a dilemma on whether to invest €3 million (£2.6 million) in the player.
Il Secolo XIX reports that a decision must be made by tomorrow or the previous agreement expires. Should Genoa choose to trigger their option, City do have the right to waive it, but that appears highly unlikely at this stage.
City have included a structured buy-back clause in this deal which would allow them to sign Ntcham back for €7 million after one year, €9 million after two years, and €11 million after three years.
A decision should be announced tomorrow and if Genoa pass on their option, Man City will likely look for another buyer, with Bournemouth and RB Leipzig both previously linked.
