Despite breaking the world record transfer fee to sign Neymar, PSG remain in contact with Mbappé’s representatives and the Parisiens are thinking about how they could pull off this transfer, believing it possible.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has a ‘deep respect’ for the 18-year-old and club president Florentino Perez has met with the player’s entourage several times to discuss a deal.
As for Manchester City, RMC Sport state that coach Pep Guardiola ‘loves’ Mbappé and that the club can afford to sign him. Wanting an extra striker, Guardiola believes Mbappé has the perfect profile for what he wants to add to his City attack.
City also have good relations with Monaco, having signed Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy already this summer. The other potential suitor, Barcelona, have decided to focus on Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool) and Ousmane Dembélé (Borussia Dortmund).
Officially, Monaco want to keep Kylian Mbappé, but unofficially they will find it impossible to say no to €180million (£162.9million). The principality club have not yet forwarded a new contract proposal to Mbappé after being shocked by the astronomical wage demands made by his entourage.
The battle for Mbappé is on and Manchester City are involved in a three-way fight for potentially the greatest talent to emerge in years.
