Brazilian left-back ignores Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool interest in favour of Inter – City Watch
Nice left-back Dalbert Henrique has been on the radar of several high profile clubs this summer after an excellent season for the Ligue 1 side following his move from Vitória de Guimarães in 2016.
The 23-year-old looks poised for a move to Italy with Inter, but according to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia, three of England’s top clubs have shown significant interest in signing him.
Di Marzio states that Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have all considered moves for the lightning fast Brazilian during their search for left-backs.
Unfortunately for them, Dalbert has given his word to Inter that he will join them and the Serie A club are about to offer €15million plus €5million in add-ons to sign the highly-rated playe. Nice are hoping to extract closer to €30million for one of their most valuable assets.
With neither of the Premier League trio signing Dalbert, Chelsea are trying to finalise a deal for Juventus star Alex Sandro, Liverpool are thought to be closing in on Andrew Robertson of Hull, and City hope to finally land Benjamin Mendy from Monaco this week, with Ryan Bertrand possibly to follow.
Should Dalbert continue to improve during his stay in Milan, it may not be long until the Premier League trio return for him. His pace, passing and defensive ability make him a good fit for the Premier League, with elite left-backs never easy to find.
