Agent: I’m in England and waiting for the call to finalise Jorginho to City transfer – City Watch
Amid reports that Manchester City and Napoli have overcome the last hurdle preventing Jorginho moving to the Premier League champions, the player’s agent has again shared his insight.
Joao Santos, who has kept everyone informed with developments in this slow-moving saga, confirmed reports that he is in England and is just waiting for the call, at which point he’ll travel to City’s offices to conclude the deal.
“Manchester City are working to close the deal with Napoli – any moment could be the right one,” Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss earlier this afternoon.
“The player is in Brazil, I’m in my house in England waiting for a call from (sporting director) Giuntoli or De Laurentiis.
“When it arrives, I will go to meet the leadership of Manchester City.”
Though we’ve heard it for weeks now, the deal appears very close, with Santos’ presence in England perhaps a sign of just how close.
