Yaya Touré could make his last Etihad appearance for Man City next Tuesday – report – City Watch
One of Manchester City’s all-time greatest players could be less than a week away from making his final appearance at the Etihad Stadium.
John Cross of the Daily Mirror is reporting that City have still not made any contact whatsoever with Yaya Touré over a new deal – and his contract expires at the end of the season.
Sources close to the player, quite possibly his outspoken agent Dimitri Seluk, have told the Mirror that no offer has been made to Touré, who is 34 on Saturday, nor have any talks in general taken place.
City could still make an attempt to keep the talismanic midfielder, but time is running out, and there is a very real prospect that the West Brom game next Tuesday could be the last time we ever see Yaya Touré play for Manchester City at the Etihad.
It might not be his final Etihad appearance, however, with the likes of West Ham, Newcastle and Brighton said to be keen on his services, and bigger Premier League clubs likely to enter the fray if he confirms his exit from City.
