Watch: Manchester City new boy Bernardo Silva scores for Portugal (and gets hurt in the process) – City Watch
Any Man City fan watching the ongoing FIFA Confederations Cup will have cause to be excited about Bernardo Silva. The new £43million signing from Monaco has been lighting up the competition for Portugal and today scored his first goal for Fernando Santos’ side against New Zealand.
A classic piece of skill by Ricardo Quaresma put Eliseu through and he squared it for Bernardo Silva to finish with ease.
Silva took a knock while scoring the goal and was in a lot of pain, clutching his right foot. He was able to continue before half-time before being subbed off at the break, suggesting that it isn’t anything too serious.
