Tottenham willing to sell Walker to Man City or Chelsea but will hold out for £40million – City Watch

City Watch

Tottenham are willing to let want-away right back Kyle Walker leave the club with Manchester City or Chelsea the most likely destinations. As reported in the Sunday People, Spurs will be holding out for a fee no less than £40 million for the England international.

Walker has seemed to lose his starting place in the Spurs team to Manchester City graduate Kieran Trippier in recent weeks and a move to City would most likely see him guaranteed a starting spot with Zabaleta, Sagna and Navas all out of contract in the summer. As well as this City would be able to double the full-back’s current £70,000 a week salary to make the move to Manchester.

This is not the first time that Walker has been reported with a move to City with many other sources stating that the deal is well on its way to completion. It’s no secret that City are in dire need of full-backs for next season and the PFA team of the year right-back would provide some much needed quality in defence, whilst also filling up a much needed home-grown spot for the club.
