Rumour: Manchester City to announce second major signing on Monday

The big rumour doing the rounds on social media today is that Manchester City could be prepared to announce another major signing on Monday, after unveiling Bernardo Silva as their first summer acquisition on Friday.

Goal‘s Sam Lee, always a reliable source for City news and information, has posted that he has heard similar.

City Watch has also learned that there could be an announcement on Monday, while a source close to the club told us that a new player could be revealed on Tuesday or Wednesday. It may even be all of those days the rate that talks seem to be progressing for several targets!

The big names tipped to be arriving at the Etihad right now are Benjamin Mendy, Ederson Moraes and Kyle Walker. But with the Bernardo Silva deal coming out of nowhere (other than our story on irregular patterns in the betting markets for him), you never know what City might have up their sleeve!
