PSG contract rebel receives offers from Man City, Man United and Barcelona – City Watch

City Watch

PSG and Brazil defender Marquinhos has received offers from Manchester City, Manchester United and Barcelona after refusing to sign a new deal at the French club, according to Téléfoot.

The 22-year-old, capped 17 times by the Seleção, is out of contract in June 2019, but is reported to have rejected an extension, putting some of Europe’s most prominent clubs on alert.

And both Manchester clubs in addition to Barcelona have submitted offers for the talented centre-back, the French television channel claims.

On paper, Marquinhos would be ideal for a Pep Guardiola side with a pass success rate of 93.3% this season, even higher than the Premier League’s most accurate ball-playing defender, City’s John Stones (92.3%).

Marquinhos becomes the latest centre-back to be linked with a move to Manchester City, with Leonardo Bonucci, Virgil van Dijk, Aymeric Laporte and Lucas Hernández other rumoured targets.
