Thierry Ambrose will return to his homeland of France this coming season after joining Ligue 2 side RC Lens from Manchester City on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old had interest from Ligue 1 clubs such as Nice and Bordeaux, but has decided to join Lens in the French second tier, where he will be coached by former Real Sociedad, Nottingham Forest and France U20 boss Philippe Montanier.
Lens will have no option to buy Ambrose when his loan deal is up.
Thierry spent last season on loan at NAC Breda in the Netherlands, contributing an impressive 10 goals and 4 assists in 30 Eredivisie appearance.
