Kigbu, a 19-year-old centre-back, has joined the top-flight Austrian club on a two-year deal with an option for a third year, and becomes the latest of many young players to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Ash made 5 appearances in the Premier League 2 for City’s Elite Development Squad last season and featured twice for the under-19s in the UEFA Youth League.

The Manchester-born player is already in scenic Wolfsberg and will start training today.

Sporting director Christian Ilzer said of the youngster: “He’s a talented young player for the centre-back position where we have been looking for reinforcements for a long time.”
