Manchester City trio receive Brazil call-ups for November internationals – City Watch

Manchester City trio Ederson, Danilo and Gabriel Jesus have been announced in the Brazil squad for friendlies against Uruguay and Cameroon in November.

That means 33-year-old veteran Fernandinho is again left out by coach Tite, leaving him stuck on 49 caps for the Selecao, one short of a half century.

City fans won’t complain with Fernandinho recently admitting that having the last international break off and taking a holiday to Dubai made him feel fresh when City were back in action.

“I feel like I’m 25 now,” Fernandinho said.

“When you are out of international duty you can forget a little bit about football, spend more time with your family and clean your mind and your body. I think it helps a lot.”

Brazil face Uruguay at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium on November 16 and Cameroon at Stadium MK on November 20.
