Following a year at FC Twente in the Netherlands, the next step in Bersant Celina’s fledgling career could be a loan move to newly-promoted Championship club Bolton Wanderers.

The Bolton News reports that talks are underway for the Kosovan midfielder to join Phil Parkinson’s side, who won promotion from League One this season.

Celina, 20, made 27 appearances in the Eredivisie for Twente last season, scoring five goals and contributing the same amount of assists. And a move not too far from the Etihad could be in store for the youngster, with his representatives holding talks with Bolton bosses in recent days.

Bersant himself began the speculation by posting a picture of himself driving past Bolton’s Macron Stadium on Friday.
