Manchester City have NOT offered contract to Schalke left-back Sead Kolašinac – report – City Watch

City Watch

Manchester City have not offered a bumper contract to Schalke 04 left-back, Sead Kolašinac, according to Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News.

This comes after a big report from German newspaper BILD yesterday that both City and Arsenal had offered €140,000-a-week contracts to the 23-year-old Bosnian international.

The MEN has refuted that claim, stating that City are monitoring Kolašinac, meaning an approach is possible for the player, who is out of contract in June, but that is as far as their interest has gone to date.

City would be able to land Kolašinac on a free transfer, making him an appealing option, but if they only plan to bring in one left-back this summer, with Gaël Clichy out of contract, they may be much more selective, with the likes of Benjamin Mendy and José Luis Gayà expected to be on the market.

Pep Guardiola’s dream target, Alex Sandro of Juventus, is another possibility with a report today stating that the Blues have opened talks with Juve over a £42.4 million deal for the 26-year-old.
