Highly-rated Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn is in line for a second England call-up for the prestige friendlies against Holland and Italy this month, the Mirror reports.

The 22-year-old has impressed on loan at his boyhood club Norwich City this season and is widely regarded as one of England’s most promising young goalkeepers.

Angus was previously called up to the England senior set-up in November by coach Gareth Southgate, but didn’t feature in the friendly against Brazil. However, he impressed Southgate in training and is now poised for be summoned for a second time.

The son of former Norwich and Scotland goalkeeper Bryan Gunn, Angus has risen through the ranks at City and has performed so well in his first loan spell away from the Etihad Stadium that he could be playing Premier League football as soon as next season – possibly out on loan again.

And should his call-up be finalised, he could potentially earn his first minutes for the Three Lions before ever playing in the Premier League for Manchester City or any other club.
