Lille coach Marcelo Bielsa to scout Manchester City forward on Sunday – report – City Watch

Manchester City forward Enes Ünal is a young man in high demand, with an incredible TWENTY clubs said to be interested in signing him for next season.

The Turkish international striker, who turned 20 on Wednesday, has been a revelation at FC Twente during his loan spell this season, scoring 18 goals in all competitions.

His form has alerted many prominent clubs in Europe, with the likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and especially Lazio thought to be among his admirers. And you can add a French club to the list now, with reports from Turkey claiming that Lille are keen on acquiring Ünal.

The legendary Argentine coach, Marcelo Bielsa, will take over at Lille from the start of next season and he is already working on his transfer targets. And Ünal is one of them, with Haberler reporting that 61-year-old Bielsa will attend Twente’s home game against FC Groningen, which will be their last fixture of the season and Ünal’s final appearance at the Dutch side.

Ünal still doesn’t qualify for a work permit at Manchester City and is not expected to be part of the summer tour in America, so a loan move is the most realistic option for him. And though he will have many options, the chance to work for Bielsa at Lille, a club aiming to rise up Ligue 1 again, could appeal.

Bielsa is known for building young, hard-working teams and sees Ünal as a good fit for his new-look Lille side. Ligue 1 would also be a step up in quality for the Turk, giving him a chance to develop further and convince Pep Guardiola that he can be part of the Manchester City squad.
