Joe Hart is ready to return to English football this summer in a stunning £20 million move to Liverpool, according to Neil Custis of The Sun.

Hart, who turns 30 on Wednesday, will not return to Torino after one year on loan in Serie A, and City are said to have softened on their stance of not allowing him to join a Premier League rival.

Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with a move for England’s number one, but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has stolen a march on them according to The Sun after failing to be convinced by Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius.

In Hart, Klopp would be getting a goalkeeper tried and tested in the English game, even if not one who meets the requirements Pep Guardiola wants in his goalkeepers. With Joe between the sticks, Klopp believes Liverpool could finally challenge for the league title again.

Earlier today it was reported that Claudio Bravo will stay at the Etihad, but City are still thought to be in the market for a new goalkeeper, with 23-year-old Ederson Moraes of Benfica the leading candidate.

For a limited time, you can get your hands on a Manchester City official shirt from just £30 for adults and £22.50 for children.
