The 21-year-old, who has had loan spells at Lille, FC Twente and Real Oviedo, was one of numerous Ghanaian youngsters to have been given a pathway into European football by City via the Right To Dream Academy in his homeland of Ghana.

Last season, he made 20 appearances in Spain’s second division with Oviedo, and will now play permanently in that league having joined Numancia on a three-year contract. It is unknown if any transfer fee was involved for a player who had been under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2020. He becomes Numancia’s eighth signing of a busy transfer window.

City have been selling many young or fringe players this summer, with Yeboah the seventeenth to be sold or released in the current transfer window, and that is before the many loaned out.
