Gabriel Jesus has confirmed that he will undergo surgery soon after suffering a fracture on his face during yesterday’s match between Brazil and Argentina.
Jesus’ Manchester City teammate Nicolas Otamendi caught the 20-year-old with an elbow, forcing him off on a stretcher in added time. And while it was first thought to be nothing serious, reports earlier today from Brazil confirmed a fracture to his left orbit (eye).
The City striker has posted an update on his social media channels tonight, confirming the fracture himself and also the need for surgery. This injury shouldn’t have any impact on next season, but is unfortunate – especially as it was inflicted by his teammate, Otamendi.
Infelizmente não vou participar do próximo jogo !
Sofri uma leve fratura no rosto e deve passar por cirurgia logo !
Obrigado pelo apoio!
