Eliaquim Mangala and Fabian Delph set for transfers away from Manchester City – report – City Watch
Eliaquim Mangala and Fabian Delph are both on the verge of leaving Manchester City for new clubs, according to reports in the Mail on Sunday and Sunday Times
The two, along with out-of-contract City goalkeeper Willy Caballero, have been primary targets for Newcastle this summer but the Magpies have missed out on all three, with Caballero heading to Chelsea. For this reason, Newcastle are at risk of losing boss Rafa Benitez, who identified the City trio as men he wanted to bolster his squad having guided Newcastle back to the Premier League.
Despite claims from France than Lyon aren’t convinced by Mangala and instead are trying to recruit his City teammate Jason Denayer, the Mail on Sunday states that he is on the verge of a move to Lyon.
Meanwhile, it is also reported that Fabian Delph is also on his way out of the Etihad and heading to Mark Hughes’ Stoke City. City value Delph at between £12million and £15million with the midfielder available for transfer.
