Arsenal vs. Manchester City: Starting Lineups & TV Information – City Watch
The Centurions, The Record Breakers, The Shark Team… whatever you want to call them, Manchester City, one of the most dominant champions in English football history, begin their defence of the Premier League today with a tricky away fixture at the Emirates Stadium.
The post-Wenger era has begun at Arsenal and Gunners will be eager for new boss Unai Emery and his side to take a big scalp on day one of the 2018-19 Premier League season against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the tie of the opening weekend.
It promises to be an exciting game with City winning all three meetings between the teams last season, including the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, but Arsenal likely to be rejuvenated under new leadership.
Michael Oliver is today’s referee and here are the starting lineups selected by Guardiola and his counterpart Emery:
Arsenal XI: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Sokratis, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ramsey, Ozil, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang
Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy, Fernandinho (c), Gündogan, Bernardo, Mahrez, Sterling, Agüero
