“An excellent, quick dribbler” Man City scout Sweden-based Ghanaian sensation Kingsley Sarfo – City Watch

The City Football Group’s scouting network stretches to all four corners of the globe, in search of talent not only for Manchester City, but other clubs part of or affiliated with the CFG, such as New York City FC, Melbourne City, NAC Breda and Girona FC.

And according to Ghanasoccernet, City scouts may have identified another gem playing his club football for Swedish side IK Sirius.

22-year-old Ghanaian, Kingsley Sarfo, is a winger who has been lighting up the Allsvenskan this season and is considered to have huge potential. In just six league appearances this season for Sirius, he has already found the net three times.

City’s talent spotters have been very impressed by him and it could lead to a deal being struck, although it is unlikely he’d go into the Manchester City first-team squad if signed, with a loan move elsewhere more realistic.

We got some comments from IK Sirius fan Jozef about the Ghanaian attacker.

“Sarfo is Sirius’s star player, having scored three goals in Sirius’s first six games. He can play both down the middle behind the striker or on the right wing,” Jozef told City Watch.

“He is quick, an excellent dribbler, links brilliantly with his teammates and is a relatively good finisher. While not the finished article he is clearly destined for bigger things and with only a year left on his contract will likely leave in the summer window.”

With Sarfo out of contract in a year’s time, City could acquire him for a modest fee of between €1 million and €2 million if they follow up with a formal offer.
