Amiens are in a race against the clock to sign Nigerian forward Olarenwaju “Larry” Kayode on loan from Manchester City today.

The Ligue 1 side have been trying for weeks to secure a deal that would see the 24-year-old relocate from Girona FC to the Stade de la Licorne, but talks have been delayed due to City having other priorities – such as the signing of Aymeric Laporte.

RMC Sport journalist Tristan Molineri reveals that lengthy negotiations continue with hopes of an agreement by tonight.

Kayode has struggled for minutes at Girona, but he was the Austrian Bundesliga’s top scorer last season and Amiens, who have found the net just 16 times in 20 Ligue 1 matches, are desperate for some firepower which “Larry” has the potential to bring.

It is thought that City have several offers for Kayode, including from Turkey, but a move to France is the most likely option as it stands.
