Alexis Sanchez told he will not be allowed to leave for Man City or Chelsea – City Watch

Alexis Sanchez returned to Arsenal training yesterday and despite leaving teammates in no doubt that he wants to leave this summer, he will not be allowed to join Manchester City or Chelsea.

According to a report from The Times, Alexis Sanchez was told by Arsene Wenger that he will not be allowed to join an English club this summer. Whilst Sanchez will not be allowed to join his desired club Manchester City, or Chelsea, he could well move abroad. Wenger hasn’t ruled out a sale abroad, although PSG are set to rule themselves out of the race as they look to complete a deal for Barcelona forward Neymar.

Wenger is confident of keeping Sanchez at Arsenal for the season and wants him in his squad for the first Premier League match against Leicester City. Sanchez has also shown desire to feature for Arsenal in the Community Shield against Chelsea at the weekend however concerns over his fitness after a long absence may hinder any involvement from the Chilean.

Despite Sanchez’s desire to join Manchester City, Wenger’s resistance against a sale will put any deal on hold unless a transfer request in handed in.
