The 19-year-old is leaving the Etihad for a return to Spain with the European champions after feeling he wasn’t getting enough opportunities under Pep Guardiola this season.

Real Madrid will pay an initial £15.5 million for Brahim according to Sam Lee of Goal with further add-ons to follow. It is a considerable fee for a player out of contract in June, who Madrid could have picked up for nothing.

The teenager will earn £65,000-a-week at the Bernabéu and is set to be given the chance to prove himself in Real Madrid’s first team in the coming months.

Another well-informed journalist on the subject, Jose Alvarez, reports Brahim could be in line to debut for Los Blancos against Leganes in the Copa del Rey on January 9th.
