Nestled between their first two Premier League games of the season, Manchester City face Girona FC this afternoon at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi. On the line is the Costa Brava Trophy, an annual cup that Girona invite teams to face them for.
Pep Guardiola has taken a full strength squad with the exception of Kyle Walker, who is absent for personal reasons. This warm-weather training camp will allow the City boss to fine-tune his tactics more, and also give minutes to those behind others with their fitness.
Girona are expected to be announced as the latest addition to the City Football Group soon, and already have four Manchester City youngsters on loan, showing just how strong the relationship between the clubs is becoming.
