FC Twente unlikely to retain Manchester City trio Enes Ünal, Bersant Celina and Yaw Yeboah – City Watch

City Watch

FC Twente face losing Manchester City loan trio Enes Ünal, Bersant Celina and Yaw Yeboah in the close season, with Tubantia reporting that the Eredivisie side are unlikely to retain any of them for a second season.

Ünal is almost certain not to return after a prolific season in which he has found the net 18 times in all competitions, with City poised to send him to a stronger league unless Pep Guardiola decides to bring him into the first-team fold. Serie A side Lazio are interested in the 19-year-old Turkey international and many other clubs are keen to acquire him.

Yaw Yeboah will also not be returning, with City refusing to allow another loan move for the 20-year-old Ghanaian because his contract expires in 2018. This either means he will extend his contract and go elsewhere on loan or quite possibly be sold. Yeboah has struggled for form in recent months at Twente and lost his spot in the starting line-up, but did return to their XI against NEC Nijmegen on Saturday.

The third loanee is Bersant Celina, the promising 20-year-old Kosovan with 5 goals and 5 assists to his name in the Eredivisie this season. Celina signed a long-term contract extension at City last year, but his future is also uncertain.
