Manchester City under-18s boss Lee Carsley quits the club – report – City Watch

City Watch

Manchester City’s blossoming youth system has been rocked by the resignation of highly-regarded under-18s boss, Lee Carsley, according to the Sunday People.

The 43-year-old has done a stellar job with the U18s this season and is reported to have quit his role just halfway into a two-year deal at City.

His decision is said to be unrelated to City’s hammering at the hands of Chelsea in the recent FA Youth Cup final, but instead a personal decision because he has to travel between his Midlands home and north-west accommodation for work.

Manchester City have yet to confirm this information, but this isn’t something they would have wanted after his excellent work in guiding the youngsters to the U18 Premier League North title this season.
