Bernardo Silva: Ederson to City? I’ll be very happy if my friend joins us… – City Watch
Signing number one of Manchester City’s summer window, Bernardo Silva, will not need introducing to signing two, Ederson Moraes. The two of them are friends, having spent some time together in Benfica’s youth ranks back in 2015.
The two will soon reunite on a much bigger stage at the Etihad, and Bernardo was asked about the imminent signing of Ederson.
“Is it official? No?” the 22-year-old asked O Jogo before continuing. “I am very happy because I know him very well. I had the pleasure of sharing some moments during my development at Benfica.”
“He is a great goalkeeper. If I can play with him (at City), I will be very happy.”
Ederson is in Manchester today and is expected to complete his move to the Etihad imminently.
